Peter Styles is the My PC Surgeon!

Hi, my name is Peter Styles. I live in Bristol, and have done since 1984, although I am a Devonian by birth. I’ve been interested in all things computing for more years now than I care to remember and have always loved taking things apart to see how they work and repairing them when broken. I’ve scratch built any number of computers in my time and notched up many years experience repairing and upgrading PC’s and laptops for friends and family.

I worked for many years as a freelance project manager, implementing IT systems for major companies and spending most of my time on the road and living out of a suitcase. Exciting? Sometimes. Glamorous? Not at all. Its no cliche that the inside of one hotel room looks much like another – whether it happen to be in Bristol or Barcelona!

I finally decided that I’d had enough of the nomadic lifestyle a few years ago. So, I made the decision to change direction, hastened no doubt by a serious brush with testicular cancer. There is nothing like coming face to face with your own mortality to focus the mind on what you really want to do and what is important in life.

Hence My PC Surgery. Fed up with the questionable service and poor value for money that seems to characterise many of the large computer services outlets out there, I decided that I’d operate My PC Surgery on the basis of the sort of company I would want to do business with as an individual – one providing genuine value for money combined with honesty and reliability. An outlet that would treat my valued computer equipment with the same loving care and attention as though it were their own.

The bottom line is that I care about my business and the quality of service I provide. Check out my testimonials page and see if my customers agree!
