I’ve just replaced the screen on a Dell Inspiron 1525 which had taken a tumble onto the floor. Even from a short height, the impact damage of a drop can often be fatal as far as a laptop screen is concerned.
That was certainly true in this case. Luckily, a quick investigation showed up no other damage and so, once the screen was swopped out, the laptop was good to go.
