I’ve always been a big fan of radio and now there is a great new way of listening to all your favourite UK radio stations online. Its called Radioplayer and it allows you to access live and on demand radio programmes from literally hundreds of stations, both BBC and Commercial, in one place. All the BBC’s local and national stations are available, plus over 140 commercial ones. There are plans to add new stations over the course of the next 12 months which will bring the total number of stations to around the 400 mark!

Once you fire up the radio player, you can search for your favorite stations and programmes on any station, just like on a real radio! You can save a radio station you are currently listening to as a favourite by clicking on ‘My Stations’, followed by the ‘Add’ button in the player. Then, it is so easy to switch between your saved favourites by making a single click on the relevant station icon.
Listening to live radio via radioplayer is not currently possible via your iPhone or iPad, but there are plans for the launch of mobile apps later this year.
